Guild of Thieves (2025)

I rejoined the team at Mojiworks as a senior engineer after a round of redundancies at Auroch to work on Guild of Thieves, a co-operative RPG action adventure game what was being developed for Discord’s games platform. Sadly the game was cancelled before launch due to some changes to the platform.

The game was written in Typescript for the Playcanvas engine, with backend code written in Go for Nakama. Being a small team building a game in a lightweight engine, I was involved all aspects of the codebase - including gameplay, netcode, enemy AI (including authoritative server behaviour and a custom pathfinding solution), UI and tools.
